Halloween Prep

Our quest for pieces to Alex's Halloween costume, as well as my need to be babied by my mom for a few days, led us to my hometown. My home is a wonderful place where nostalgia rules and turkey dinners appear magically on the table. Also, my backyard doubles as Jurassic Park since we have live Velociraptors running in the wild. These ugly but delicious creatures are regulars here and make full use of the picked over garden and cozy flower beds, which incidentally are perfect for sleeping.

After dinner the box of Halloween's past was retrieved from the basement, full of its forgotten terrors and modeled by my brother Corbin. This number I believe is a version of Barry Manilow, Peter Pan, and Daniel Boone

after which the wig quickly scurried away.

And here is a California raisin, which I still remember my mother dancing on stage in for a Relief Society Dinner of some sort.

Luckily we did find something useful. A frilly slip to go under Alex's Little Bo Peep dress, paired here with Lightening McQueen jammies and a fairy heart wand.

Happy Preliminary to Halloween.
