Easter Fun

This Easter, Alex went on her first Grand Easter Egg Hunt, made possible by our lovely neighborhood. Navigation was provided in part by Me, and then by Lance after 5 minutes of complete failure. Transportation was also made possible by Lance utilizing the versatile, and very manly, Snugli.

Alex loved the hunt, and she even held her own Easter basket (as shown above) for much of the trip. After visiting (nearly) all of the houses we returned home to enjoy the fruits of our labor. The following is documentation of said fruits. However, you may notice that something is wrong with this picture. No one is holding onto the basket. At the precise moment the picture was taken, Alex had apparently decided that the hunt was much better than the treasure of having the actual eggs, and promply let go of her basket sending the contents, much to our disappointment, speedily to the ground. She however, was delighted.

Now don't be silly. Although slightly more crumbly than desired, Lance and I still ate the candy.

Easter morning brought even more goodies. The Easter Bunny did not disappoint, and brought treats for all to enjoy. Alex loved her new toy, Lance loved his too, and I finally got to eat the Peeps that have been sitting on my counter for a week getting hard and delicious.

Grandma's house was also full of Easter fun, an Easter Egg Hunt with all the cousins, which was spent looking on with BFF Emery, sucking on eggs (which ended up not being so bad after all) and looking very pretty in her new Easter dress.

We had a lot of fun, but truly I am grateful for the meaning behind this reverent holiday.
